We have a variety of cbd:thc ratios offered in tinctures, capsules, elixirs, lotions, cartridges and edible/dab-able oil. All products are made with RCO (refined cannabis oil), extracted with CO2 and refined with molecular distillation using proprietary methods by our partners, Farmer’s Friend Extracts. The refined oil is highly potent while maintaining a diverse spectrum of minor cannabinoids and a full terpene profile. The CBD Apothecary provides high quality products for patients and consumers looking for consistent and effective natural alternative health options . We work with some of the top farms in the state to produce strain-specific medicinally focused products for individual needs and ailments.
“The CBD Apothecary brings four years of experience helping medical patients (and their pets!) in the Oregon Medical Marijuana Program and has recently launched their product line in the OLCC recreational market.”
There has been documented evidence of humans using cannabis and hemp for over 10,000 years. However, it is only recently that scientific and clinical research has been done on this plant. Much of that scientific inquiry has been centered around cannabidiol, or CBD.
CBD is one of more than 100 different cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. It is the second most common cannabinoid and uniquely doesn’t have the psychoactive side effects of THC. In fact, CBD can even counteract the psychoactive effects of THC by creating competition at the body’s cannabinoid receptor sites.
Unfortunately the FDA and OLCC do not allow us to make any claims about the potential health benefits of CBD or what conditions it may serve. We strongly believe in our products and the benefits of CBD. Find out for yourself and let us know what you think!
At The CBD Apothecary we are committed to using only CBD-rich and CBD-dominant cannabis as our source material. We do not use industrial hemp for any of our products. According to the National Institutes of Health, the delicate interaction of major and minor cannabinoids and terpenes, known as the “entourage effect“, is responsible for how cannabis makes us feel. Terpenes are naturally occurring plant chemicals that effect the smell and taste of cannabis, and have been shown to work synergistically with cannabinoids to alter the effects of cannabis on the user.
Most CBD derived from hemp is fairly devoid of cannabinoids besides CBD and has little to no terpene content. The presence of even small amounts of THC has a positive effect on the body’s ability to absorb CBD and other cannabinoids by modulating uptake of our endocannabinoid system. Link
We also offer The THC Apothecary line of products for those in need of the many benefits of THC. Many people prefer to mix high CBD products with high THC products. Just remember to start small with any THC dominant ingestible, and always wait at least two hours before ingesting more as edibles can have a very delayed onset time.
